Juniors 4-6 years

And: 229

We speak, draw, create, learn new words and have fun in Italian.
The Junior course for 4-6 years guides children of school age discovering the Italian language through play, experience and collaboration. Thanks to an original approach based on listening, expressiveness and creativity, children actively exercise their communication skills and refine their own language skills.
In addition to the constant use of spoken Italian, you come into contact with the written language by discovering letters and words. Children are introduced to the world in a playful way reading and to writing, through playful activities of oral expression and creative drawing.
The appointments are structured in thematic itineraries, inspired by the natural and scientific world, art, music and theatre, which are transformed into small journeys in the name of knowledge.

The Junior course is available with two different programming: the Wednesday every week at the headquarters of West and the Saturday every two weeks at the headquarters of South.
Both courses are combined with the Pupils 7-9 year old group, in which two distinct programs are developed based on age and some collaborative group activities.

Description

The Italian course Juniors 4-6 years It is specially designed for bilingual children who desire learn the Italian language in a fun, engaging and age-appropriate way. In fact, in a safe and playful environment guided by a native speaker teacher, they feel at ease and free to explore the language without stress or fears.

In this phase of growth in which children are acquiring the basics of reading and writing, we focus on verbal communication. The meetings there help to develop their skills listening, comprehension and oral production of the Italian language. Games, songs, stories, drawings and manual activities are then used to create an immersive and sensorial learning experience that stimulates all their senses.

In this way the Junior course 4-6 years lays the foundations for independent reading and writing in Italian, through playful and fun activities, gradually introducing letters, words and simple sentences.

What do children learn in this way:

  • construct and use simple sentences in Italian to communicate in everyday contexts;
  • develop understanding of the language through stories, nursery rhymes and funny songs;
  • express yourself creatively through drawing, play and theater activities;
  • discover Italian culture and become familiar with habits, customs and traditions.

Objectives of the course

Expand the child's linguistic competence in Italian by experimenting with different types of expression: listening to stories, initiation into writing/reading, body expression/artistic skills (drawing and manual activities).
