We are happy that you want to help us! Become a volunteer too: there are always many things to do and organize at Lo Stivaletto.

 

What can you do as a volunteer?

One of the activities that requires a lot of collaboration is the organization of parties and events, where our ever-growing community gathers. At the party Carnevale 2024 there were 250 of us! But to organize these initiatives in the best possible way, many people are needed and your contribution can make the difference. Furthermore, based on the commitment you can dedicate to organizing the event, you will receive 1 or more free entries for you and your family.

 

Management tasks

Lo Stivaletto offers courses and activities throughout the year thanks to the coordination of a Executive Team of voluntary people, who permanently take care of all management aspects of the Foundation. Dall’administration al finance, from the activities of operations to those of communication. Do you want to help us in one of these areas? Well!

Minimum Requirements

  • you can offer at least 2 hours a week for a period minimum of 6 months;
  • two initiative, responsibility and reliability;
  • you have experience, even minimal, in similar roles;
  • speak a fluent Italian;
  • you want to work in a close-knit group with community spirit;
  • share it too values of the boot.

HOW WE ORGANIZE OUR EVENTS
Each party requires 1 – 2 months of preparation, during which the event organizing team chats via Slack and meets once a week for an online meeting.

During the meeting we share updates on the various organizational aspects that we are carrying out and discuss the choices to be made together.

Setup, entertainment, shopping, buffet, graphics, photos... you can help us with whatever you prefer, based on your availability.

OPEN POSITIONS

Availability: about 4 hours a week
They are voluntary basis with the possibility of entrepreneurial initiative.

We are looking for a Communications manager on a voluntary basis, who will help us communicate with the community and promote the Lo Stivaletto offer.

Do you speak italian? Do you want to get in touch with the community of Italian families in Amsterdam? Do you want to help us grow the association and reach even more people with even more engaging initiatives?

The role

Lo Stivaletto offers a rich program of activities, courses and holiday camps in Italian for children aged 0 to 12 and avails itself of a communications team that manages the social pages, the website, the newsletter and all communications with the community.

The Communication manager supports and supports Giulia, our Communication Director, in carrying out the following activities:

  • The newsletter that is sent regularly to all members with information about our courses, camps and events – you see example.
  • The creation and publication of content on our social channels (Facebook and Instagram) to stimulate and increase the community that follows us.
  • Writing posts for the blog on the site, relating to Stivaletto activities and topics of interest to the community.
  • The optimization and creation of images and graphics for various communication actions using Canva.

Who are we looking for:

  • Someone responsible and reliable.
  • Good writing skills in Italian.
  • Graphic and layout skills.
  • Familiarity with marketing and communications.
  • Experience using Mailchimp, WordPress, Meta, and Canva is not necessary, but highly appreciated.
  • Entrepreneurial and proactive spirit: ours is a young association open to new ideas and initiatives.
  • Experience in similar roles is helpful, but not necessary.
  • Desire to work in the community.

  • Through the stipulation of a regular volunteer contract with the Stichting Lo Stivaletto, every volunteer is covered by liability insurance which it covers during the course of the activities and meetings for which you collaborate.
  • Possibility to promote your other activities to the Community following evaluation by the Stivaletto management team.
