On St. Martin's Day Holland celebrates in a very nice way. The children, around 5-6 in the afternoon, when it gets dark, go house to house with lanterns to sing songs and in return they receive sweets and mandarins. This is the tradition that you will have the opportunity to get to know and discover by participating in the party!

As well as making beautiful things together lantern, children will be involved in a real musical, during which they will be able to train by singing songs dedicated to Sint Maarten. For the occasion we are also organizing a small one Street market, where you can exchange, buy or sell second-hand games and books that are still in perfect condition. And a fantastic buffet for adults and children will be the perfect accompaniment to this intense program.

All activities are designed to involve children of different ages, particularly from 2 years old and up.
Entrance costs €5 per person, adult or child, for 2019-20 card holders, and €10 per person without a card.
To participate, register through this link. We are waiting for you!

NB: The neighborhood routes to sing and collect sweets and small gifts between the houses in the neighborhood will take place on the afternoon of Monday 11th throughout the city. To entice you even more to participate in this beautiful Dutch tradition, we will point out all the neighborhood initiatives we are aware of, trusting that there is one near you too.
