Carnevale is upon us and here at Lo Stivaletto we are taking care of the final preparations to celebrate big with you on Sunday 2 March.
In fact, behind the scenes our team of volunteers has been busy for weeks preparing the activities, choosing the decorations, looking for the best products and organizing the set-up of the rooms. The spirit of collaboration is the our strength and fun is a guarantee!
The important thing is to never lose track of all the Slack channels we have active to organize the party

A specialized team

Activities for children are the first thing we focus on, often also involving our educators or others education and entertainment professional.
This year it is Roberta, Martina and Aurora who enrich ours Stivaletto teaching team, to guide the creative workshops 2-12 years that we created for this carnival party:

  • Roberta coordinates COLORS IN CESTAIN, a play area dedicated to children aged 2 to 4 years where they can experiment with colors and paint with their hands.
  • Martina tests the creativity and dexterity of children aged 5 to 7 with her Arlecchino laboratory, where masks and decorations are made with paste, glue and tempera.
  • Aurora designed a Carnival treasure hunt for boys and girls aged 8-12+, who will be able to solve quizzes and tests only thanks to teamwork.

There will also be many other things to do at the Festival, such as face painting, l'area boardgames for children and adults and the soft corner for the little ones. There is someone who is thinking and organizing the materials for every aspect of the Festival and on Sunday a team of 30 volunteers made themselves available to help ❤️

Valuable collaborations

Unity is strength and we also see it with the management of the snack, which is coordinated by some very loyal Stivaletto volunteers. With care and perseverance they select, purchase, cook and plate exquisite products for every party and for every palate.

To complete their commitment there is collaboration with some reality of value, which help make our events special.
In particular we would like to thank the team at Vico Food Box which shares and supports our enthusiasm for Carnival with chiacchiere, castagnole and many other delights selected from their very rich range of all-Italian goodness.
And our friend Chiara, de La Bottega by Chiara's Food of Amsterdam, which has supported the Stivaletto project for years and enriches our parties with taste with the quality of its products.

Furthermore, thanks to the friends of Vico also the Prize for the most beautiful mask it becomes tastier: for those who win it is there a Vico Food Box is up for grabs full of good things to eat that taste of Italy!

The More beautiful mask

Speaking of the Prize, it's time to take up the challenge and create your Carnival costume
It is not mandatory to participate in costume, but what would Carnival be without masks, colors and a pinch of madness?! Then you also need your creativity and desire to put in a little effort’ on display to fill the Stivaletto Festival with disguises and experience the joy of the Italian Carnival together.
And to give you a little’ of encouragement, we gathered some useful advice for making yours More beautiful mask:

  • Don't put it off: decide now how to dress up, do things calmly.
  • Focus on simple ideas: a bag of sweets, for example, can be made with a few colored balloons.
  • Join forces: A group costume is often easier to make and always makes an impression.
  • Start with what you have at home: the equipment you bought for that boxing lesson could come in handy, right?
  • Get help: from your family, friends and above all from your child. Collaboration makes everything more fun.
  • Arrive on time: the 10 finalists will be selected between 3pm and 4pm, don't miss the opportunity!

We are waiting for you Sunday 2 March come on ore 15 at Tagerin ad Amsterdam West – Balboastraat 18 – for an unforgettable Carnival!
